DESENSITIZATION OF SENSITIVE TOOTH NECKS

Erosive and abrasive processes on tooth enamel as well as receding gums can lead to teeth that are sensitive to pain. The sensitive tooth necks are exposed and external stimuli can penetrate the tooth nerve. The special formulation used here desensitizes the sensitive tooth necks and can thus prevent the transmission of pain.

Potassium and strontium salts have proven themselves in hypersensitive teeth, among other things. They are characterized by different modes of action. Potassium salts protect and soothe by wrapping themselves around the tooth nerve like a protective covering. This results in a reduction in sensitivity to pain.
Strontium salts have an astringent effect and thus close the dentinal tubules that transmit pain.

The Lacalut-specific substance aluminum lactate supports the above-mentioned effect through its astringent properties, ie the “sensitive” tooth necks are desensitized because the conductivity of the fluid in the dentinal tubules is interrupted.
